Lello Piazza has been the director of photography for the monthly nature magazine “Airone” for over twenty years. For Airone he has been collaborated since the first issue as columnist of the newspaper column Fotografare la natura.
He is the curator of important photography exhibitions, as Cento Fiori for Amnesty International, in which the major photographer participated as Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Eduarde Boubat, Salgado, Bernego Gardin, Annie Leibovitz, Mapplethorpe, Tina Modotti and others at the Carla Sozzani gallery. Now he is writing for the Gardenia magazine about wildlife photography, about nature tourism for the magazine Bell’Europa, about photojournalism for the monthly magazine FOTOgraphia and he is collaborating with Carlo Roberti for TPW (Toscana Photographic Workshop).
Member of many national and international juries in photography competitions and film festivals, Lello Piazza links photography to his first job: he is a Probability, Statistic and mathematical analysis professor at Politecnico di Milano.
