The event is promoted by Gardenia with Lello Piazza, in collaboration with Orticolario and Marco Scarpa, photographer and photojournalist for Corriere della Sera
Two workshops in one
First part
The morning will be spent with Marco Scarpa and the water landscape from the lake.
On a cruise between the two shores of Lake Como, on board the extremely rare Lia gondola: from Pianello del Lario to the Piona Abbey on the Olgiasca peninsula, to the Piona lake, Domaso, … to discover the landscape of the upper lake, the wildest and most open one.
A two-hour navigation to learn the different photographic techniques that allow you to take perfect photographs of the landscape “with a sense, from the water”.
Lunch break
In the park for a “toc”, one of the oldest dishes of the tradition of Lake Como, at “La dispensa in serra”
Second part
The afternoon will be spent with Gardenia and Lello Piazza at Orticolario 2023.
In the park of Villa Erba, photographing gardens, installations and nature.

Paid admission upon reservation. Limited number of places.
Reservation: online only, by 9.00 am on Thursday 21 September
Contribution: Euro 180,00* including:
– parking
– entrance pass to Orticolario, valid for all days of the event
– round trip of about 1 hour (dedicated shuttle) Villa Erba > Museo Barca Lariana
– workshops on the boat and in the park

Total duration: about 11 hours (trip + workshop on gondola and in the park + lunch)
Topics covered: framing/composition, lenses/brightness, aperture/depth of field, exposure.
Equipment required: comfortable clothing and shoes (sweater, windbreaker, sun hat, waterproof poncho in case of rain), camera or cell phone camera, batteries, memory cards, lens (recommended: wide-angle to telephoto zoom)
Parking and meeting point: Galoppatoio entrance (Via Regina 2/A)
