Samara
“Samara” is the time flowing through the life of the maple.
Autumn, when its leaves are on fire, turn red and finally fall. Spring, when the samaras and their floating fruits are messengers of a new life, supporting a love dance between earth and air.
Suspended and imposing, a maple kokedama breaks the barriers of space-time, presenting the plant in two opposite seasons.
In an installation created in full respect of the Japanese tradition, a tree and its pearl of mosses of the pre-Alpine undergrowth are surrounded by a soft flock of samaras.
