Dungeons of Villa Antica
Please take a seat …
A journey often starts in an armchair, while you imagine or organize it, or watching a beautiful film, very comfortable, with the right atmosphere, that of the Cinesalotto, in the dungeons of the Villa.
Yes, because travelling is not just shifting in space, but above all an experience of vision, fantasy and metamorphosis.
Cinesalotto jumps from one part of the world to another, embracing distances and diversity, telling about changes and magical and imaginative transmutations.
It sees beyond the walls of a room, horizons and seas and wind.
Soft lighting, a screen and a journey. That’s all that we need.

Mental landscapes and the travel of the mind
Great place I
by Ailbhe Ní Bhriain, 2011, 7′
One of the four works in which ‘Great Good Places’ is divided, a video installation named after Henry James’ story “The Great Good Place”.
The work transforms a series of everyday environments into spaces suspended in time, into a visionary and hallucinated atmosphere, a mental everywhere.
