Daniele Righetti a Orticolario 2018

At Orticolario 2018 with Daniele Righetti, called the “Lord of the carnivorous plants”, a passionate collector and breeder of plants, together with his Sarracenia and rare plants from all over the world.
Among its endangered carnivorous plants, the autumnal Sarracenia leucophylla, up to one meter tall, featuring white, fuchsia or pink leaves and green veins.
Sarracenia flava – the name deriving from its yellow flowers – var. rugelii, has green-yellow leaves with an isolated dark red stain.
Sarracenia flava var. ornata , has yellow leaves with red tending to almost black ribs that seem to be ink drawn.
Sarracenia purpurea subsp. purpurea resists temperatures up to – 30° and grows even in Canada.

Among his rarities: Huperzia, similar to a giant moss; Mimosa albida growing into a tree, with its small purple pompom flowers, and Desmodium gyrans, a Vietnam shrub with leaves that continuously move by themselves.
