The Furoshiki is a Japanese art by which, with a simple cutout of fabric and a few gestures, you can create bags of various shapes and fancy gift packages.
In the workshop you will be taught to create a packaging for an object the size of a book, knotting the fabric so as to form a small bag, a sack and a bundle.
Fabric and any decorations will be provided by Marigami.

A Nandina made of paper

Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October at 3.30 p.m.

You will relax while concentrating and slowly giving room to your imagination.
Nandina is a plant considered auspicious in Japan: its name means “overcoming difficulties”.
In the workshop you will be taught to make a greeting card with a branch of cheerful red berries which are made of small pieces of coloured paper.
The paper will be provided by Marigami.
